Dedicated to Stopping Repossession

Our attorneys know how to stop repossession of all types of property, including:

  • Repossession of cars, trucks, motorcycles and other motor vehicles
  • Repossession of boats
  • Repossession of major appliances

If a creditor has contacted you and threatened repossession, or some pieces of property have already been repossessed, you have the right to take action. We can help.

Bankruptcy Stops Repossession

As part of the bankruptcy process, an automatic stay goes into place as soon as you file. This stay stops creditors from taking further action against you. They cannot repossess any property after bankruptcy has been filed.

There are two forms of bankruptcy available:

Not only can both of these forms of bankruptcy stop foreclosure, they may even allow you to get your car back if it has been repossessed already.

A recent court ruling indicated that, upon filing bankruptcy, a repossessed car has to be returned. Ideally, this happens automatically. However, if action is necessary in order to get your car back, we can take that action. We will help you keep your property and we will do it at a price you can afford.
